Submersible Pump Replacement

With an extensive portfolio of diverse projects in often challenging and hazardous areas, our M & E team were selected by Saint-Gobain Ltd to replace a large submersible pump in a 40m deep borehole at East Leake gypsum mine.
The mine produces the raw material for plasterboard and the submersible pump is a vital element of the dewatering system that keeps the mine in a safe operating condition.
Working in close proximity to the 40m deep borehole, SES Engineers completed the replacement of the pump incident free and within strict timescales to maintain the water in the mine to an acceptable level.
Utilising a large crane for the lifting operations SES provided the complete engineering solution and following the success of the initial contract have been awarded further works of this type on several occasions by Saint-Gobain all of which have been undertaken successfully.
