Arnos Grove to Southgate

SES are contracted to provide labour to carry out maintenance works on the, Northern, Jubilee, Piccadilly and part of the Metropolitan Lines. Types of work include, track reconditioning, pit block replacement, track refurbishment, re-sleepering, conductor rail replacement, points and crossings, enhanced track renewals, life extension works, rolling vehicle access requirements, stressing and removal of non-compliances and train arrestors.

Gang sizes range between 4 and 22 staff, which include SPC, Ganger, Lead Platelayers, Skilled Platelayers, Un-Skilled Platelayers, PWTEH and T002/T003 Handback Engineers.  This service has been live since January 2012, predominantly working in Engineering hours Sunday to Thursday, with possessions taking place Friday to Sunday.

The works carried out at Arnos Grove are, re-railing in various sizes ranging from 8 meter up to 90 meter string. Other works include Spot Sleeper renewals.  This is completed each night within 3hrs, which includes up to 4 sleepers renewed, mobilisation and de-mobilisation of work site.
