Part of SES, the Special Projects team is at the forefront of Tunnelling services. Our Tunnelling team supports some of the UK's most important infrastructure, including London Underground's bustling Jubilee Line. SES's maintenance and support work plays a vital part in the ongoing replacement of the tunnel linings: delivering a safer, better Tube for millions of passengers.

Working at night, SES Tunnelling engineers diligently oversee a train-mounted Segment Handling Plant (SHP): a sophisticated machine that replaces the tunnel lining at a rate far quicker than even the most experienced work crew. Thanks to impeccable scheduling and maintenance, each night's work is completed in good time for the morning's first tube train. It's zero inconvenience for passengers - and for London Underground, too.
